Voimaa Maasta (Strength from the Roots) promotes local production and advocates for the vitality of rural areas. The association strengthens rural communities and creates new opportunities for local entrepreneurs. For consumers, the association offers an easy way to purchase local products, ensuring that money stays within the region. At the core of our activities is the support and promotion of local products and services. We believe that strong communities are built through collaboration. Our focus is on local food. When producers and consumers collaborate locally, the area prospers and is better able to withstand external risks.
For producers, we offer tools and networks to help you expand the visibility of your products and services and increase sales. Direct sales to consumers enable better profit margins. We support you in utilizing new technologies and communication channels to grow your customer base. We also organize events where you can market your products and find new partners. We are committed to promoting the local economy both in Finland and internationally.
Why become a member?
As a member, your business can join the direct sales network and benefit from collaboration. We offer support and visibility to ensure your products reach the right customer base. In addition, you can participate in events where you can market your products and grow your business. We also seek new markets and sales channels for your products. You will have access to digital tools developed by the association to assist with sales. The association supports start-up companies and product development for its members by seeking funding for product development projects.
Producers, join forces!
Businesses and organizations that share the goals of our association can join Voimaa Maasta Association. Producers interested in direct sales should get in touch immediately and join during the startup phase. The membership fee is €100 per year. Membership is granted upon submitting a membership application to the association’s board. Private individuals and other organizations can also join as supporting members.
Taste of Saimaa – delicious for consumers
The association is launching the Saimaan Maku – Food Lab store in Savonlinna and developing the Taste of Saimaa sales network for products that are produced locally and sustainably, ensuring the highest possible quality. We will also offer selected products produced under the same principles from other parts of Europe.
